Abyss – Privacy Policy

Last updated 5 November 2026

Who we are

Abyss is a mobile game made by Infinite Forge Games ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the Abyss app for Android (package com.infiniteforgegames.abyss) handles and why.

In short: the game does not ask for your name, email, location or contacts, and we run no servers that collect your data. Your progress stays on your device. Our advertising partner, Google AdMob, and Google Play's payment system process some data under their own policies, described below. We only see personal information if you buy something (Google gives us a record of the purchase) or if you email us.

Data the game keeps on your device

The game stores these files only in the app's private storage on your phone. They are not sent to us or anyone else.

DataWhat it isWhy
Save filesYour progress, upgrades, codex and settingsSo you can continue where you left off
Purchase recordWhich in-app items you own, and ad rewards used todayTo apply what you bought and the daily ad limit
Gameplay logGame events (dives, goals reached, session times) with a random install IDTo help balance the game; it never leaves the device

Uninstalling the app, or clearing its data in Android settings, deletes all of it. The random install ID is created by the game and is not linked to your identity or your Google account.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

Abyss shows ads only when you choose to watch one for an in-game reward. There are no banner or forced ads.

These rewarded ads come from Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads and prevent fraud, Google's SDK may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address, device and app information, and how you interact with ads. Google uses this as described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and the Google Privacy Policy.

  • Your consent. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, the game shows Google's consent form at launch before any ad is requested. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → AD PRIVACY CHOICES.
  • Ad content. Ads are limited to content rated for teens (T) or below.
  • Your advertising ID. You can reset it or turn off ads personalization in your phone's Android settings (Google → Ads, or Privacy → Ads).
  • No ads needed. Every ad reward is optional. The Supporter Pack gives the rewards without ads.

Purchases (Google Play)

In-app purchases are optional and handled entirely by Google Play. We never see or store your payment card or billing details.

When you buy an item, Google Play tells the app which item you bought and gives it a purchase token, so the app can unlock the item and restore it if you reinstall. Google processes your payment under the Google Payments Privacy Notice.

Google also gives us a record of each purchase in the Google Play Console, such as the order number, the item, the price, the date and the country. We use these records only for accounting and tax, to handle refunds, and to help you if you contact us about a purchase. We keep them for as long as tax and accounting law requires.

If you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message (for example your phone model, or an order number). We use it only to answer you and to fix problems you report. We do not add you to any mailing list. We keep the conversation only as long as we need it to help you, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

This website

This website uses no cookies, analytics or trackers, and has no forms. Like any website, our hosting provider (Hostinger) keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, pages requested and browser type, to keep the site running and secure.

Children

Abyss is made for players aged 13 and over and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child's data was collected through the ads in this game, contact us and we will help.

Sharing, retention and your rights

We do not sell or share your data for advertising, and we hold very little about you: only the purchase records Google provides and any emails you send us. We share them only when the law requires it (for example with tax authorities) or with the services that process them for us (Google, and our email provider). The game's files are deleted when you uninstall it. For data held by Google (ads and payments), use your Google account controls at myaccount.google.com or contact Google. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct or delete your data and to object to its use; contact us and we will help you exercise them.

Changes to this policy

If the game starts handling data differently (for example, sending gameplay statistics to a server), we will update this page and the date above before that version is released.
